“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.”
~Romans 1:16
The world is loud about sin, so why should we stay quiet about the Savior who set us free?
Staying silent about our faith might feel safe, but it is never what God calls us to do. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 10:32-33:
“Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.”
That’s serious. Your voice matters. Your testimony matters. And the enemy would love nothing more than to keep you quiet so no one else can be set free.
When you’ve been rescued from addiction, darkness, or hopelessness, your life becomes a living testimony of God’s power. Revelation 12:11 says,
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.”
Your testimony is a weapon. Every time you tell your story — even the messy parts — it shames the devil and points people to Jesus.
Silence, on the other hand, is agreement. When we refuse to speak, the enemy gets to control the narrative. But Proverbs 28:1 reminds us:
“The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.”
You are not called to whisper about your faith; you are called to roar about it. Whether that means sharing with a friend, writing about your journey, speaking in a group, or even posting publicly online — your voice could be the spark that lights hope in someone else’s darkness. Even if you get banned on Social Media, it’s worth it! You did it for Jesus!
Questions to Ask Yourself:
- What keeps me from sharing my faith — fear of rejection, lack of confidence, or fear of offending?
- How has my life changed since meeting Jesus, and who needs to hear my story right now?
- Where has God given me influence (family, friends, co-workers, online)?
- What practical steps can I take to start speaking about Jesus more boldly beginning now?
- How can I prepare Scriptures to share when the moment comes, so I’m not caught off guard?
- In what ways can I use my recovery story as a bridge to introduce others to Christ?
- How would my life look different if I truly lived unashamed of the gospel every single day?

Prayer:
Abba Father,
Thank You for saving me and giving me a testimony worth sharing. Forgive me for the times I have stayed silent when I should have spoken. Fill me with holy boldness and courage to share my faith without fear or shame. Open doors for me to speak about Jesus and help me recognize those moments. Let my story bring light to someone else’s darkness and point them to Your Son.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
