DON’T QUIT IN THE MIDDLE OF YOUR DELIVERANCE

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” (2 Timothy 4:7 NKJV)

You did not come this far to turn around now. You prayed for freedom. You cried out to God. You asked Him to pull you out of the pit. So why would you go back and visit what nearly destroyed you?

The old life will always try to make itself look familiar, comforting, even harmless. It is lying. What once enslaved you does not deserve another chance. What nearly killed your peace does not deserve your loyalty. What pulled you away from Jesus does not deserve one more conversation.

Stop negotiating with what God told you to leave behind.

The race is not finished because you feel better, or because the crisis passed, or because the temptation got quieter. You keep going until obedience becomes your lifestyle and Jesus is worth more to you than anything you had to leave behind.

“But he who endures to the end shall be saved.” (Matthew 24:13 NKJV)

There are moments when finishing the race looks very spiritual. And there are moments when it simply looks like this:

  • No.
  • No, I am not going back.
  • No, I am not reopening that door.
  • No, I am not feeding that craving.
  • No, I am not making excuses for my flesh.
  • No, I am not trading freedom for five minutes of relief.

Stay the course. You have just one life to live before God. Finish clean. Finish faithful. Finish free.

Abba Father, make me ruthless about anything that competes with my obedience to You. Give me strength to close every door that leads backward and courage to keep walking when the road is hard. Fix my eyes on Yeshua and keep me faithful to the very end. In Jesus’ holy and Almighty name, amen.
