YOUR STRUGGLE IS TELLING ON YOU

Struggles are not there to destroy you. They are there to expose you. There’s nothing you’re going through that GOD doesn’t know about.

Pressure has a way of revealing what comfort can hide. When life gets hard, what do you reach for first? Anger? Isolation? A substance? Another person? Control? Food? Escapism? Or Yahweh?

The struggle may not be the real problem. The struggle may simply be uncovering what still has power over you.

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:21 NKJV)

Recovery gets real when you stop asking, “Why am I going through this?” and start asking:

“Abba, what are You showing me through this?”

  • Some battles expose fear.
  • Some expose unforgiveness.
  • Some expose pride.
  • Some expose unbelief.
  • And some reveal that the old escape route is still standing with the door cracked open.

Don’t waste the struggle. Let it show you what still needs to die. Let it expose what needs to be surrendered. Let it prove that you no longer have to run back to what once enslaved you.

“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.”  (James 1:2–3 NKJV

TODAY’S CHALLENGE

Instead of asking God to immediately remove the struggle, ask Him to reveal what the struggle is uncovering in you. Then deal with that. That may be where your next breakthrough begins.

PRAYER

Abba Father, do not let me waste the struggles You allow in my life. Expose anything in me that is still competing with You. Tear down every false refuge, every old escape, and every place where I still resist surrender. Teach me to run to You first and remain faithful when life gets hard. In Jesus’ holy and Almighty name, amen.
